Note to readers: this fight card has been canceled due to the promoter’s inability to find an opponent for headliner Andy Kolle.
Word on the street is that lately there has been no word on the street. No information seems to be cirulating on the details of the upcoming fight card at Grand Casino Hinckley on April 25 – not even a rumor. So the Fistic Mystic is getting creative.
The poster shown here was lifted from the Hortons Gym website and I’m sure the promoter won’t mind that I’m sharing it with you here.
On the poster we see the following fighters named:
Andy Kolle – the headliner – Kolle is a 16-1 middleweight from Fergus Falls, Minnesota. The two biggest fights in his career so far were a loss to Olympic gold medalist Andre Ward and a win over 37-5 St Paulite Matt Vanda. Kolle has notched 12 of his wins by kayo, and is reputed to have the best chin in the state.
RJ Laase – A welterweight from Duluth, Laase’s first professional fight was last October 13. Laase has won the first two bouts of his career against fighters with a combined record of 0-9.
Tim Taggart – Not much is known about Taggart, but he appears to be a super middleweight and carries a record of 2-0. Consider this an opportunity to learn more about Mr. Taggart.
Gary Eyer – This welterweight from Duluth has compiled a record of 3-0 with 2 kayos in his brief career. He’s been none too busy since his debut in February 2007, but he may be making a move to correct that, as this will be Eyer’s second fight in just over two months.
Phil “The Drill” Williams – 30 year old rookie Phil Williams, a Minneapolis resident and Queens, NY native has been making some noise recently in the light heavyweight division. His pretty 7-0 record includes 7 kayos, including 5 in the first round.
Of course plans can change, and in boxing they frequently do. But you can use this article as an outline, and it seems safe to assume that most of the fighters listed here will be in Hinckley on April 25. Visit www.hortonsgym.com for more information.
