Minnesota Boxing Assemblage of Eminence

There have been several attempts at creating a boxing hall of fame for Minnesota over the years.  Some have more or less gotten off the ground, but none have had any real staying power.  Now a rumor has reached my ears about an enterprise that may bring some real credibility to the concept.

If Minnesota gets a real, honest-to-goodness Hall of Fame (notice the capitalization), who would you put in the inaugural class of inductees?  Should the first class be strictly old-timers, or would you hang any color photographs on the wall?

Suggestions?

  1. Since you readers aren’t exactly beating down the metaphorical door to make suggestions, I’ll start with three of my own: Tommy Gibbons and Billy Miske from the black-and-white era and Duane Bobick from the Kodachrome era.
