Litzau Wins (Hopkins, Too)

Jason Litzau gave his career an enormous boost tonight with a technical decision victory against Rocky Juarez.

Litzau was the busier and more effective fighter in the early going, but an inadvertent clash of heads in the sixth caused a severe facial injury to Litzau, an injury that prompted referee Jay Nady to stop the fight in the seventh.  The result was a technical decision for Litzau – the scorecards were read as 67-66, 67-66, and 68-65.
