Corey Rodriguez Battles to a Draw on Unfamiliar Ground

In Cleveland last night, junior middleweight Corey Rodriguez of New Hope fought his way to a creditable technical draw against hometown favorite Dante Moore.

One ringside reporter noted that Moore had taken the early rounds, inflicting a cut near Rodriguez’s right eye with a hook, before Rodriguez “earned his points with a furious assault” in the latter rounds of the six-round bout.

Scores were 58-56 for Moore, 58-56 for Rodriguez, and 57-57 even.
